Hitchcock Free Academy's Farmers' Market Festival

Join us for this special event: farmers and artisans will offer their locally-produced items for sale and local authors will have their books available for purchase; there will be life music, a puppet show, a dog training demonstration, a cooking demonstration (funded by CHNA5), a tag sale fundraiser (donations accepted), and a great sense of community!

The First Annual Silver Bat Classic

Experience "Base Ball" as it was played 150 years ago in Massachusetts and the Brookfields on the 76th Anniversary of Connie Mack Day. This free fun family event will recreate the famous ball game of 1865 between the North Brookfield and Brookfield Base Ball clubs while celebrating the history of base ball in the Brookfields, from before the Civil War until Connie Mack Day in 1934. Food and other vendors. Music by members of the Quabbin Community Band and local singers. Historical displays, come see Connie Mack's "Silver Bat" and more! Dress as your favorite ball player contest! Pitch and hit with a reproduction 1860s bat and ball! And more! 10:00am to 4:00pm. Game starts at 11:30am. Bring a lawn chair and spend the day! Period dress welcomed.

Southbridge FREE Summer Concerts - Lori McKenna

On Saturday, July 10, enjoy the Country music of Lori McKenna who is a Nashville recording artist and writes for Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. Lori has also appeared on "Oprah".
The Southbridge FREE Summer Concert Series takes place each week through the summer on the Common (Routes 131 & 169). Shows will start between 6-6:30pm and finish around 8pm. Bring the family, your lawn chairs/blankets and coolers to enjoy a relaxing summer evening listening to a variety of musical entertainment.
